Theatrical Sewing for Adults
Wednesday, November 19 6:30pm-8:30pM
Clothing and costume emergencies can happen at the drop of a hat! This workshop will teach you basic sewing skills that can come in handy in everyday life, but most importantly backstage before, during, or after a show. We will cover sewing on buttons and closures, basic hemmings stitches, quick repairs of seams and tears, and what items to include in your emergency sewing kit. You will be provided with instructional handouts and basic materials for hands-on activities.

Theatre Basics for Adults

If you have ever wanted to explore the world of theatre or freshen up your knowledge and skills, this workshop is for you. We will cover information about every aspect of theatre, including universal theatre terminology and common expectations in the process of producing a show. This workshop will provide you with information that will give background and understanding that will prepare you for any production.
Costume and Props Making Youth Workshop

Costumes and props are the icing on the cake of creating a character on stage. In this workshop, we will be covering the importance of costumes and props in onstage storytelling, how these aspects are used, how to take care of your costumes and props, and how you can create your own! Students will have the opportunity to experiment with real costume pieces and props to create characters
Acting and Movement Youth Workshop

This is a great workshop to learn the basics of acting and how we use movement, voice, gesture, and emotion to tell a story! Activities involve creating characters and stories through action, using creativity to learn more about being a character, working together on stage, and using your voice to be heard.
